Product Requirements
Pre duct sealing work initiation, the duct system must be tested for leakage % and recorded.
Post duct sealing work installation, the duct system must be tested for leakage % and recorded.
Duct sealing incentives require 12% reduction in duct leakage when comparing pre and post test results.
Dwelling must utilize an electric heating or cooling system.
Customer Eligibility
Customer must be identified as existing within Home Performance Plus’s targeted communities.
Qualifying product(s) must be new and installed in a residence that currently receives electric service from Southern California Edison.
Dwelling must be single family or multi-family with four units per foundation or less.
New construction is not eligible.
Incentive amount cannot exceed purchase price.
Other Requirements
Application must include a paid invoice or receipt with the material used to provide duct seal, purchase price and purchase date.
Application must be submitted with 90 days of installation date.
Homes are eligible for one incentive per dwelling.
HVAC system incentives require timestamped, geotagged photos of all equipment prior to, during installation, and after project is completed. Including nameplates of existing and installed equipment.
Application must include a signed Customer Participation Agreement.
Application must include a paid receipt or invoice with purchase price and purchase date.
Qualifying equipment must be new and replace existing equipment in a residence that currently receives residential electric service from Southern California Edison.
Qualifying customers are determined by the program that are identified as residing within targeted hard-to-reach and disadvantaged communities.
Required Documents
- CPA-TA - Customer Participation Agreement
- SPECS - Specifications Sheet
- Itemized Invoice - Customer signed, dated, & stamped "Paid" or stamped "Received by Customer", including manufacturer, model #, infrastructure upgrade costs, labor
- Closed Permit(s)
- Program/Implementer/Customer Attestation
- Attestation attesting to applicable standards ANSI/RESNET/ICC Standard 380-2019 and/or the latest edition of the California Title-24 Reference Appendix 3 (if applicable).
- Attestation stating that the duct connections are not sealed with duct tape and stating the sealant materials used (if applicable).
- Attestation stating that the replaced section(s) is less than 25 linear feet and in compliance with Title 24 building codes (if applicable).
- A signed and dated Implementer/Contractor Attestation attesting to the following statement:
- “I certify that the duct leakage test of the existing ductwork (no alterations) for this project was performed in compliance with applicable standards ANSI/RESNET/ICC Standard 380-2019 and/or the latest edition of the California Title-24 Reference Appendix 3.”
- Tester must state which type of test was used (“Duct Pressurization and Leakage Flow Measurement” or “Duct Leakage to Outside Measurement”).
Required Photos
- Photo of the HVAC Nameplate(s)
- Photo of the Duct Seal work performed
- Photos of Test-In and Test-Out results
- Duct leakage work completed at ≥25 pascals and results of the “Test-In” and “Test-Out” systems checks
- Photos clearly showing the sealant materials and type (photo of the sealant material, its packaging or SPEC sheet)
- Photos that show the total replaced section(s) is less than 25 linear feet in total
- *ALL PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED TO BE GEO-TAGGED AND TIMESTAMPED.
